Following on from the critically acclaimed success of ‘Chess’ at the Bob Hope Theatre, Cathryn is delighted to be taking part in ‘Last Tango in Little Grimley’ (as announced previously), as well as the rehearsed reading of a new piece (‘Missing Stanley’) by Mike Metcalf.

Cathryn will be playing Margaret in ‘Last Tango in Little Grimley’ with Stag Theatre Company as part of the Sevenoaks Summer Festival.

This beautifully funny one act play about the final production of a failing amateur dramatics group is being performed alongside Tom Stoppard’s ’15 Minute Hamlet’ in the Plaza Suite of the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks.

Chess

December 9, 2011

Cathryn is delighted to be playing the role of Florence in Bromley Players’ production of ‘Chess’ at the Bob Hope Theatre, Eltham from 25th April – 28th April 2012.

This fantastic musical by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson (of ABBA) and Sir Tim Rice involves a romantic triangle between two top chess players, an American and a Russian, in a world chess championship, and a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.  It is set in the context of a Cold War struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union, during which both countries wanted to win international chess tournaments for propaganda purposes.

How the Other Half Loves

December 2, 2011

Cathryn will be playing Mary Featherstone in Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘How the Other Half Loves’ at the Oast Theatre, Tonbridge February 25th – March 3rd 2012.

This is one of Ayckbourn’s earliest plays, involving the exploits of three very disparate couples.  With all the action taking place in two separate houses, often simultaneously, this is Ayckbourn at his funniest and most inventive.

Tonight at 8.30

May 16, 2011

From 15th July – 31st July, The Oast Theatre (Tonbridge), Archway Theatre (Horley) and Lewes Theatre Club will be presenting all ten of Noel Coward’s ‘Tonight at 8.30′ plays.  Written in the early 1930s as a showcase for himself and Gertrude Lawrence, this will be the first time since 1936 that the entire collection has been brought together in the UK.

Cathryn will be appearing in three of them – ‘We Were Dancing’, ‘Hand Across the Sea’ and ‘Still Life’ on various dates at the three venues.  She is delighted to be a part of such a historically important production.
